Sweetie, a two-month-old golden Labrador, was tethered and mistreated by a negligent, intoxicated owner when we first heard her cries for help. Thanks to the timely intervention of Maneka Gandhi and her team, we were able to rescue her and rush her into care. Covered in wounds and suffering from an eye injury, Sweetie faced a long road to recovery.
At our shelter, she received gentle veterinary treatment, nourishment, and round-the-clock affection. Slowly, trust blossomed in her big brown eyes. Her spirit, once broken, began to shine again.
Soon after, a compassionate family led by Ruchira adopted her, renamed her “Snoopy”, and welcomed her into a world filled with love and comfort.
Today, Snoopy is thriving — proof that even the most neglected souls can heal and flourish with care.
